What is Fentanyl?

Fentanyl is one of the world's most powerful drugs used for severe pains caused by insane injuries or cancer. It was first created by Dr. Pail Janeseen who wanted to create a more extreme and potent version of morphine. Fentanyl binds to our brain’s opioid receptors that block out pain signals that were supposed to be sent to the body, these painless feelings however have become additive to many worldwide.

Positives

This drug has allowed many surgical procedures to happen effectively, as it acts as a pain relief and anesthesia to make patients feel painless during surgeries. Additionally, the drug helps prevent many individuals from experiencing severe pain, changing the lives of many, as people who were unable to do certain tasks due to their pain are free of it because of Fentanyl. Also, in some cases smaller doses of Fentanyl are deemed to have fewer side effects compared to medications with higher doses, again helping the people.

Negatives

Though Fentanyl is a drug that kills pain it has become an addiction as many use to feel free of their pain, both mentally and physically. Many overdose on this drug as Fentanyl is very potent, and even small amounts of it can lead to death. This is apparent with the misuse of it as criminals lace food with Fentanyl, leading to the death of many. Another negative is that Fentanyl has withdrawal side effects both physically and mentally such as vomiting, joint pain, depression, and insomnia.

Conclusion

Fentanyl is a very effective and strong drug that can save the lives of many but with its great power, it can lead to death and misuse. This drug should be used with care and should not be accessible to unprofessional and criminal people because if it were to be in their hands, there would be nothing but death.
